Ooi Wei Qian is a skilled legal professional with extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and legal advisory services.

Before founding her chambers, Wei Qian served as Senior Case Counsel at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), where she administered over 900 cases across arbitration, adjudication, mediation, and domain name dispute resolution.

Wei Qian played a pivotal role in AIAC's expansion into international markets, particularly in the China and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions, building partnerships with key international arbitration bodies and fostering new business development opportunities.
She also led key projects, including the Continuing Competency Development (CCD) Workshop Series. Wei Qian was a Secretariat for the Protem Committee of the AIAC Court of Arbitration, where she assisted in the establishment of the AIAC Court of Arbitration, ensuring it aligned with global best practices and standards.
In addition to her work on policy and institutional reforms, Wei Qian supported AIAC’s efforts as a taskforce member to modernise Malaysia’s dispute resolution framework, including the reform of the Arbitration Act 2005 and the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 in 2024.

Before joining AIAC, Wei Qian worked on complex commercial and construction litigation, arbitration and adjudication.

Kar Leng is dual qualified as a Quantity Surveyor and practising lawyer.
She is also a registered Quantity Surveyor registered with the Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia with more than 20 years of experience working predominantly in quantity surveying firms and claims consultancies firm in Malaysia, Europe and Australia.
She has also previously acted as quantum expert for construction litigation matters. Because of the dual qualification, she is able to see construction disputes from a wide angle and understand the core areas of contention or differences between parties. Kar Leng regularly assists contractors in reaching settlements with the adverse party and have successfully narrowed down differences with opposing experts during expert hot tubbing sessions and preparation of joint expert reports.
She is also an accredited adjudicator and arbitrator with AIAC and has been appointed as adjudicator for payment disputes in Malaysia.
